I’ve been meaning to talk about JAM (Jim & Pam; if this doubt has not been cleared.) for a longgg timeeee.
Well well well, with that, I’m dishing out a new fan video from SarahTheShort.
One that is set to “What Hurts The Most” by Rascal Flatts.
Enjoy.
At the meantime, I know you guys must be bored out of your wits while waiting for the video to be streamed, loaded, completed, what-nots.
So, read on if well…
You wish to occupy the time purposefully.
Well, avid followers/worshippers of The Office know that the most sought-after couple everyone seemingly seem to be a fan of is:
Jim & Pam. (thus, deriving JAM. i mean, how weird can Pim sound? -.-)
And the following statements that I am about to make, will definitely take more than me, to ever realize, and oppose to the hurdles and setbacks the couple has been facing ever since the season begun.
Jim Halpert. (note: not my sketch. in fact, i owe it to PeppyConcierge for this. ) Introduction:
Jim & Pam has never been a couple ever since Season one of The Office. And however much they might wish to deny it, they always seem to be together most of the time (especially during office hours), and have a more-than-close relationship that suggests one that stretches far beyond friendship.
In “Casino Night”, their relationship switched gears and had no longer took a backseat: Jim made his first move. However, as a confused Pam, she had still wanted to go on with the marriage (with Roy; also known as ‘just a warehouse guy’.), with Jim prompt decision to leave the Scranton branch of Dunder-Mifflin to the branch in Maryland, to be final.Seriously. What. A. Bummer.
You guys must be yelling, “JIM! FOR CHRIST’S SAKE, DON’T LEAVE. IF YOU MOVE AN INCH…!”Yeah. Pffttt!
In Season Three, avid JAM fans find it a little unappealing that one: Jim had officially been transferred *widen eyes with fear*, and that two: The flirtation, BEGINS. This time, it’s not with Pam, but a new girl he had recently got aquainted with in the new work environment, Karen.Jim, don’t do this.
We all know how you feel.
YOU STILL MISS PAM. Repeat after me, YOU STILL LONG FOR PAM. *chants*
In “The Fight”, we see Pam & Jim in a whole different perspective: kids tussling playfully in a playground. With the initiated tussle by Pam, Jim carries on by wrestling with her, and ends up lifting her up from her waist. And this is when…Bummer.
Boom.
Meredith caught them in “the act”. (ok, i so don’t condemn this as an offence or law-breaking act; CIAO? They were just being PLAYFUL. and it’s cute seeing them this way all the time. )
With the wrestle, Pam’s tum had been exposed, and with Meredith’s silent disapproval and suspicion, we see Pam roughly rejecting Jim’s play-along, leaving Jim confused and guilty for causing such a reaction.
Oh please, Jim.
If you are reading this (although I understand that you are a fictional made-for-televsion character created by Greg Daniels.),
Don’t stop teasing Pam.
I think you guys look great together, and seriously.
Critisism, should be of second nature.
Screw what others say.
You guys were meant to be together!
In “Initiation”, we see a gripping and intense phonecall from Jim. (though we later find out that it was meant to be to some guy named “Kevin”, with regards to some Fantasy Game… game. *shrugs*) Well, it had later led to a casual chat (sounds more like a between-friends one. but hell, we’ve been waiting all 4 episodes to see that happen!) between the two.But in true cliffhangers, as we soon realize, the two had been cut off as what was misinterpreted as a sudden closing remark made to Jim.Oh, bummer.
Honestly. I had no idea who to snarl at: the departure of Ryan that caused Pam to yell, “BYE!”, or Jim’s misinterpretion of the situation. Anyway, GRR; I wish the call had lasted for longer.
Now, for the sweet moments:
In “Casino Night”, Jim had finally got around to admitting his fancy for Pam. However, Pam got stunned by the confession, causing her to point out to Jim that they were merely friends, and were no more than that, if it was not for a misinterpretation of their friendship.
Sad, but true: Jim, had been rejected. (audience: awww…)
However, the couple made up, momentarily, with a tender smooch back in the office, right at Jim’s desk. (notice the significance? *SQUEALS*)
I had particularly enjoyed the scene when Jim shared a moment with Pam… and his iPod. They were what Jim had claimed, “dancing”, but Pam pointedly rebutted, “we were swaying, that’s not dancing!”. *chuckles*Those two, they love getting at each other’s speech.
Jim had brought up some grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner in “The Client” – when they had a brief intermission for the Midnight Threat script; specifically at the moment when Dwight got flustered when Michael had referred him to the idiotic sidekick, Dwigt (instead of the orginal character’s name, which wasn’t Dwigt).Seeing them blissfully enjoying dinner (or was it supper?) and entertained to what Dwight claimed to be a spectacular light show of fireworks; those of which had been provided by by his uncle.Christ. Not Dwight and his antics. *roll eyes at Dwight’s smug pretendance*
In “Healthcare” (do correct me if i’m wrong. ), Jim & Pam shared a moment together by concocting a list of outrageous diseases that lawful medical insurances are obviously incapable to cover.”Flesh eating bacteria? Government… (somethingsomething)?”That scene was so hilarious, I laughed uncontrollably. And when I mean uncontrollably, I mean to say, my ass was involved.
Pam snickered at the Legally Blonde choice Jim’s girlfriend made. I think it was damned for snickers.Plus, Jim saw eye to eye in Pam’s choice of movies for Treasure Island (vice versa).
AWWW.
Ok, it stinks to see the flirtation between the couple being interupted now and then.
Two of my favourites when:
Jim tries his mind control on a coat stand (he squints his eyes and gives Pam a playful look.),
&
When he tries to read Pam’s mind by squinting again, while Pam grins broadly by tilting her head in an teasing manner.
I’ve not seen the ice rink moment; so, i’ll be keeping the updates coming!
Neither have I seen the couple in the brave conquest in the booze ship. (I know Michael (Steve Carell), was simply comical with his what seemed to me as a ‘personal dance-off’.) Though I do know Roy proposed…Anyway, that’s out of the topic.
I ain’t going there.I’m rooting for JIM!
I’ve not seen them in the comedy bar event too. I think Pam was being adorably dramatic when she held that trophy (is that what it’s called? if not, i thought that looked familiar. Kinda like the gold man in The Oscars.) up the camera and went all drunkerdly, “WHOO! WHOO! WHOOOO!”Though, Jim was trying to regain her sanity by following closely behind. I classify him to be: caring, and suave.
Lastly, I can’t be more safe by awarding and entrusting you with a final clip to my post:
The “Casino Night” kiss.
(and as far as I know, this is the only kiss they had in the entire two seasons put together!)
